TERRAIN, TIPS, AND TRAVEL
We get lots and lots of the same questions from our customers so we have compiled a short list of the most common. -What is the closest airport?
The closest major airport is Missoula International Airport. (MSO)

-What hotel do you recommend near the airport?
We highly recommend RUBYS RESERVE STREET INN. Rubys has a free shuttle to and from the airport. They also have an excellent complimentary breakfast. Rubys phone (406)721-0990

-Will you pick us up at the airport?
All of our Idaho hunts begin and end at our Paradise base camp in Idaho. If you fly you will need to rent a car and drive to our Paradise base camp.

-How do I get to the Paradise base camp?
A map and detailed directions will be sent to you in your confirmation packet.

-How do I get my hunting license for Idaho?
If you are elk hunting the Idaho Department of Fish and Game will mail us your license. For deer, bear and lion hunts in Idaho you will need to buy your tags and license before you arrive. Online works the best for this. We hunt in UNIT 17, the SELWAY ZONE.

-How do I get my hunting license for Montana?
In Montana we will assist you with the license paperwork. You must apply by March 15th. Your license will be mailed directly to you from Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.

-What is the terrain like in Idaho?
Most of our hunting takes place around 5,000 to 7,000 feet in elevation. You will want to be in the best shape possible.

-What do I do with my meat after harvesting an animal?
Your guide will take care of quartering your meat and our packers will pack it to our Paradise base camp for cold storage.

-Can I get my game meat processed before heading home?
Yes. We recommend North American Foods in Hamilton, Montana. You will need to call them for pricing quotes. (406)363-1505.

-Will we be riding horses?
Horses are a daily and integral part of our lives in the backcountry. We use them on most of our hunts except for our Montana lodge hunts and Montana Private Ranch hunts.

-What if I am not capable of riding a horse?
If riding a horse is a problem you will need to let us know ahead of time so we can discuss different options.

-What do we eat on our pack in hunts?
Breakfasts and dinners are all pre-made, vacuum sealed and frozen to pack in to your camp. The guides will then prepare each meal for their clients. Lunches are a sack lunch to be eatin in the field.

-Do I need to tip my guide?
Tips are standard and customary for the guides, packers and cooks as it is in any service oriented business. 10% is appreciated. Thank you in advance!

-How do we communicate from our camps?
All of our guides carry a "SPOT" tracker personal GPS transmitter. At our Paradise base camp we have a satellite phone for emergencies and satelite internet to communicate with the outside world.

-If I do a drop camp hunt, how do I communicate from our camp?
We require you to rent a satellite phone for your safety and communications with our packers. You can rent them from a company called "Outfitter Satellite" for around $6.00 per day. You will want to rent the "IRIDIUM" model. www.outfittersatellite.com

-What caliber gun should I bring?
You should bring the gun that you are most comfortable with and can shoot the best. Please remember to always keep your scope turned down to the lowest setting.

-Can I ship my gun and gear prior to my hunt?

-TERMS:
All fees are in U.S. funds. A deposit is required with your reservation and the balance of the fee is due 30 days before your activity is scheduled to begin unless prior arrangements are agreed upon. Our policy for payments is that all monies paid are not refundable, and are considered as partial payment for the services of reserving time and space on the schedule and advance preparation of equipment and supplies. We recommend that you obtain trip cancellation insurance to protect against any unforeseen circumstances (Health, illness, fires, floods, acts of terror, etc.) that might cause cancellation of your trip or hunt. Personal checks or credit cards are acceptable for deposits. However NO CREDIT CARDS FOR FINAL PAYMENT. Final payment is expected 30 days before your trip takes place unless prior arrangements are made or if you would like to bring cash.

-ASSUMPTION OF RISKS BY PARTICIPANTS:
The activities that will be undertaken as a direct or indirect result of this reservation are commonly known to have various risks inherent to them. By making this reservation, I agree that I knowingly and willingly accept those risks which are inherent in this activity or any associated activity. I will not hold, nor attempt to hold, Circle KBL Outfitters and Guides or any of its agents or associates, responsible for loss, injury, or damages, as a direct or indirect result of my participation in those activities.
