Anglers from all over the world travel to Montana's Bitterroot valley to fish for wild trout on this 84 mile stretch of blue ribbon river. With it's legendary hatches of Salmon, Caddis and May Flies, the Bitterroot starts fishing well in March and continues to produce trophy size Westslope Cutthroat, Rainbow and Brown trout in record numbers through November.
In the off season most of our hunters are fisherman and fishing in spring and fall on the Bitterroot is about as good as it gets. Come a few days early or stay a few days after your hunt and add-on a day or two of float fishing on some of the best wild trout water in the country. Bring your own gear or use our's. We have loaner gear to match just about anyone's preference or skill level. Although we specialize in dry fly fishing we also have a pretty good selection of ultra-light spinning gear for those anglers that like to catch fish but haven't mastered the art of fly-fishing.
One or more days of float fishing on the Bitterroot with a guide (including accomodations at Circle KBL, breakfast, lunch, tackle and gear) can be added on to any hunting trip from April through October for $525, just let us know when you book. For more information contact Circle KBL Outfitters at (406)821-0017.
