- ATTENTION BOW HUNTERS: A Sling to carry your bow is extremely helpful for carrying your bow on the horse.
You should pack your duffel in soft duffel bags. Two bags are better than one big one plus sleeping bag for a total of 50 lbs. Each horse is rigged with a scabbard for a rifle. Also, each saddle has a set of saddle bags for you to use.
